August 8 Today we traveled to Hoi An. Hoi An is located on the coast of the South China Sea in the South Central Coast of Vietnam. It is recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Hoi An Ancient Town is well-preserved example of a South-East Asian trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century. The streets are blocked off to traffic except for bicycles and motor scooters making it much easier to cross the street than in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City. The drive from Huu to Hoi An was very scenic. There are lot of tailors in the town who make custom clothing at a very reasonable price. Lee and I both had some clothes made. We ordered them around 1pm and they delivered them to our hotel @ 5pm. We also had time to relax at the pool before dinner and after dinner. The kids would try to stay up all night if we let them claiming they aren't tired but the minute we bring them up to the room and they lay down on the bed they are asleep.
