We will be taking a cultural tour in Vietnam prior to the Catalyst Foundation's Aid Expedition. On our previous trips we have always had to rush back because of school so this time we decided to go early and see other parts of the country.

August 4 - Hanoi Day 2
Today we went to the Ho Chi Minh Museum and the Temple of Literature and then had free time in the afternoon. Zach and Lee went to the market to shop and Sean and I napped (still having jet lag). After dinner we went to the water puppet theater and enjoyed the show. Sean said "I like Vietnam" today and is glad he came along. He is still not keen on the Vietnamese food but has tried tome new things. Of all things he decided to have a ceasar salad at lunch which we couldn't believe because he never eats salads at home. Fortunately, we were at a restaurant that washes their produce in purified water. Lee and I felt like celebrities at the Ho Chi Minh Museum - several Vietnamese locals asked to have their photographs taken with us. We encountered some pickpocketers in the evening when we went to the puppet show but fortunately nobody lost anything because one of the people with us caught them. Zach's bag was slashed but they did not get anything.
